Keyblade's Power: Ch 84

Keke's Pov.

    "Keke, may I talk to you?" 

    "Sure Master Yen Sid, what's up?" I asked. Donald, and Goofy had come back with news on where Terra could be. They paired up what Sora and they had fought about a year ago, along with what Mickey, Aqua, and Ventus had remembered about their final battle with Xehnort and Vanitas, and with what I had found during my Mark of Mastery. 

    "I am afraid that when we rescue Terra, Xehnort will try to form the X-Blade with his thirteen darkness and our seven lights. If he manages to do that, then there is a great chance that we will not be able to win. The X-Blade is the most powerful keyblade, even more powerful than Sora's Ultimate Blade, which is the reason the Keyblade War even took place." Master Yen Sid said.

    "Is there any way we can stop this besides leaving people behind? We don't want to take any chances since we're already outnumbered, what with Malefacent helping out with her Heartless." I responded. Sora, Riku, Donald, and Goofy had just left to try to defeat the evil fairy, but I don't want to take any chances. 

    "There is, but I don't think you or anyone else will like it." 

    "What is it?" I asked, knowing that it'll have to do with me in some way.

    "You must become the X-Blade. However, to do that you must battle Sora while he's using both the Kingdom Key and Kingdom Key D."

    "What?! Master, you know that not even Sora will do something like that, not even if it's an accident." I said.

    "I know, but it must be him. He's the one whose said to open the door to both light and darkness, the same door that we hope to protect from Xehnort, the door to Kingdom Hearts. Only you can form the X-Blade, and only Sora can wield it."

    I nodded, "If it comes to that, then I'll make sure it happens. But what will happen to me if I form the X-Blade? Will I vanish?" Master Yen Sid nodded.

    "I'm afraid that will happen." I nodded and left.

Normal Pov.

    Master Yen Sid waited until the door closed before calling out, "You all do know that it's impolite to eaves drop, correct?" The door to where the three good fairies usually were opened, and Ventus, Aqua, Oswald, and Lea walked out.

    "We're sorry, master, but we knew that it had to do with the battle ahead, and we couldn't help it." Aqua said, starring at the ground.

    "Will that really happen to Keke?" Lea asked.

    "Yes, it will. She'll have to give up her life energy to form the blade. Once it's power is done being used, then both of them will disappear, maybe forever."

    "So then, what that really means is that she'll die? And Sora is going to be the one forced to do it? There's no way that should even happen! Keke and Sora are friends, there's no way either of them will want to fight if it means the end of one of them! I'm not letting her go through that! It's not fair!" Ventus shouted, his knuckles white. 

    "I agree with Ven. Keke's my best friend! There's no way she's going to go through that!" Oswald said.

    "Ven, Oswald, like Keke said, we'll only use that tactic if things come to that." Aqua said, trying to calm the two boys down.

Keke's Pov.

    I needed to think. Using my star shard, I traveled to the old mansion in Twilight Town. It was just the way it had been left when Oswald and I had left a year ago after Roxas had returned to Sora. Furniture was turned over, cobwebs and debris littered the floors and corners, there were a couple of cracks in the walls, and dust was on most surfaces. I walked up the staircases to Namine's room. It was still white, drawings were still on the walls and the table. It was a bit dusty, but not too much since it was the most recently cleaned room in the mansion. 

    I looked at the drawings, chronicling Sora and Roxas' journeys. She came to a few drawings with someone she didn't recognize. It was a girl with short black hair and blue eyes. She was wearing the Organization's coat, and was holding the Kingdom Key in some of them. She mostly appeared in drawings with Roxas and Lea when he was Axle, and even one with me. Who was she? I don't remember anyone like her. 

    "It's good to see you, Keke." I turned around. Namine.

    "Namine, who is she? From your drawing, I met her at least once, but I can't remember."

    "No one does. She was never supposed to exist, but she did. She was a puppet created by Xemnas to absorb Sora's memories through Roxas. However, she ended up claiming those memories as her own, and her face ended up looking similar to Kairi's before the darkness invaded the islands two years ago. When she vanished, everyone except for me forgot her. You met her just before that dark virus affected you. She had 'forgotten' how to wield the Keyblade, and had to defeat a heartless. You had decided to help her, but the virus stopped you somewhere along the line."

    "What was her name?"

    "Her name was Xion. Slowly, she has been coming back into the other's memories one way or another. For Riku and Sora, it was during their Mark of Mastery Exam, for Lea, when he was trying to materialize his Keyblade with Merlin. Roxas' spirit has also remembered her when Sora saw her in the Realm of Sleep. The reason you haven't remembered her yet is because there was nothing to trigger the memory. Keep looking at the pictures."

    i starred at them, and my head soon felt like it was spinning. I saw Xion, the sad look on her face, how she smiled when we talked, and the hurt and sadness she had when she needed to talk to Namine. "I... I remember her now. Namine, is there a chance that she'll be able to come back someday?"

    Namine shook her head, "I'm sorry, but in order for Sora to keep his memories, she can't become a spirit like Roxas and me. Maybe someday, but she's made up of Sora's memories. And with the oncoming battle, I don't know if she would want to risk that."

    "Ok then. Namine, do you think I should... you know, become the X-Blade?"

    "I really can't make that decision for you. What does your heart tell you?"

    "Well, part of it wants to stay with the others, but the other wants to help them. Maybe I should, if it'll help the others save the worlds. Thanks for talking with me, Namine. I think I know what to do."

    "Anytime." She said before vanishing. I walked out of the mansion, hoping that I made the right decision.
